Dan has slobbery chops and a kind temperament, he loves walks but wants to keep life at a slower pace. Could you provide his forever home?
A friendly St Bernard with slobbery chops, droopy eyes, and long naps needs an “urgent” foster home to take care of him and provide his forever home as he ages gracefully. The six-year-old named Dan, is a white and tan coloured large dog with a kind temperament who would benefit most from a quiet adult-only home.
Do not let his size fool you though, this big Saint Bernard loves nothing more than a stroke and some human attention. As this would be a foster home the RSPCA will cover all the physical and medical needs that Dan might have – though his new companions will have to make sure those chops and droopy eyes stay clean.
The RSPCA Cotswolds, Gloucester & District Branch describe Dan as having “a friendly and approachable nature when it comes to meeting new humans. He loves to say hello, but of course, you’ll be greeted with a sloppy (slobbery) kiss!”
However, Dan does need an owner who is happy to keep up with his daily maintenance, and keeping those eye folds clean. The RSPCA continued: “He needs a home that has experience with dealing with medical issues as Dan has epilepsy.
“His new human companions will have to be committed to administrating his daily tablets that he requires to remain fit and healthy. He also requires daily TLC like wiping his slobbery chops and keeping his eyes clean. Due to Dan’s health condition, he will benefit from a home that is around for most of the day to be able to monitor him.”
If you think your home could do with a large lovable character like Dan, you can get in touch with the RSPCA on their website https://www.rspca.org.uk/findapet/details/-/Animal/DAN/ref/BSA2116686/rehome and submit a form to become his next forever home.
