Hey everyone this is my first time doing this it’s kind of weird. I was diagnosed with juvenile grand mal tonic clonic seizures in june 2001.They are pretty much under control except for the occasional seizure once a year. I am a college student studying psychology. These past two years have been really hard on me because I have not been sleeping well and so my grades have dropped. I even had to transfer to a community college from a university so that I can schedual my classes around my Sleep schedule I currently take amitriptlyine 25mg and 200mcg of melatonin just to Sleep at night along with my lamectal 250 mg

    • Hi, this is my first time on here, but I just read your post and that is the exact same thing that is happening to me. I had to drop out of culinary school just so I can try to get my seizures under control. When it comes to sleeping though I am still having trouble sleeping, but that is mainly due to a medication that is supposed to keep me awake because my seizure medications; depakote and lamictal make me exhausted. However, one thing that I have found to help is that doing an hour to an hour and a half of yoga before bed really helps. Doing yoga and then taking a hot shower, take the melatonin and try to sleep. That may help with the sleeping, I know the yoga does though.
